Overconsumption is no doubt happening in our world. Whether it be in terms of food, storage, or even clothes. Items that could end up in our landfills can have another life in our homes. Shopping second-hand is a way to prevent that and you are a part of that movement by thrifting. Items are created and landfill space will soon fill with those unwanted items, with thrifting, you're not only helping yourself to a good deal but helping lower emissions from production and distribution.
USE REUSABLE BAGS
8.3 billion metric tons of plastic are in our landfills. Using reusable bags cant save the world but doing your part will not contribute to the damage that is done.
REDUCE SHOPPING FAST FASHION
These fast fashion brands like SHEIN, Forever 21, or Hot topic, are creating replicas of clothing that are made mass-produced and bring them to stores when demand is high. The work environment is terrible and the business model of these brands do it for the money. Shop sustainable with brands like Levi, Adidas, or Free people.
