CHALLENGE: OUTFITS UNDER $20!

Is it just me or has everything gotten expensive? This is why thrifting is so beneficial to those on a budget! I thrifted 5 outfits under $20 and made a TikTok about it!

Let's talk about how you can achieve a personalized outfit on a budget!

Today I thrifted at one of my favorite thrift stores in Illinois, Savers, in Orland Park.

I started this TikTok with a casual fit for what could be office attire or for Sunday brunch. I found a collared sweater priced at $5.59 and a fitted knee-length skirt for $3.39. The outfit is estimated to be $10 and none of these outfits include shoes! Thrifting for your day-to-day wardrobe is fun because it allows you to splurge a bit!

Next, I found some casual wear items that could be for a day out and or for your work attire. In this video, I hoped to implement the diversity in thrifting clothes because you can find outfits for almost any occasion if you take the time to look!

The plaid jegging jeans were priced at $6.99, the long sleeve basic was priced at $4.49, and the cardigan I threw in (in case it's chilly) was priced at $3.99. 3 items for an outfit of the day came to an estimated total of $16.

Then, I created this fun Y2K look exceptional for fall time. I started by finding this faux fur-trimmed cardigan for $8.49, I also found these cheetah print patterned jegging pants for $6.99. Together the outfit is estimated to be $16! I see myself wearing something like this. It's courageous and not everyone has an outfit like this!

Finally, these last 2 outfits were for summer. I found a patterned jean skirt and mixed and matched 2 shirts. The skirt was priced at $6.49 and I found that mixing new different pieces and patterns allows you to explore new aesthetics and fashion for yourself. I thought it was fun to pair it with this airy button-down tie-dye tee for $6.49. Totaling this fit to $14. I also found this Adidas cropped floral t-shirt for $8.79. Totaling this fit to $16. I loved both outfits and they made me feel creative and inspired to mix and match things I didn't think I would like.

The thrift store provides creative freedom and confidence with the unique pieces that can be found there. I love thrifting for many reasons, but, I think this is the main one!

**When thrifting sizes, brands, and quality vary so keep that in mind when some things are priced higher or lower than others!
