You never know what you will find, and you will not know if you do not try! The thrifting experience is full of mysteries but that is also the best part about it. Look around in places you would not think to try on clothes that you are attracted to, and most importantly, don't take shopping so seriously. If you're not in there looking for something specific, then take your time to dig through items to find awesome gems.

WALK AROUND THE WHOLE STORE

A thrift store is not a regular store; there is uniqueness behind every item because each has a pre-owned story. This includes shopping through all sections!! Be sure not to miss out on anything that can potentially be your next take-home item.

BELIEVE IN REPURPOSING

Because you're not paying full price, be courageous to repurposing items that still have so much potential in them. It is a fun project and can help you find a new hobby. This creative aspect allows you to challenge yourself and make something tailored to you and uniquely yours!

VISIT DIFFERENT STORES

If the thrift store you always go to does not provide you with excitement, creativeness, or serotonin, try another! Each thrift store is different, and all of their items are too! Different thrift stores provide different items donated from different people and location plays a big part in the items sold at thrift stores!

This is important so you know which days are best to thrift. The fun part is, that you can shop more for even less of the already sale it is. It is very common for thrift stores to have a special or sale going on each day. Simply Google it, call their store, or walk in to see for yourself!

FIND POTENTIAL RESELL ITEMS

Thrift stores are not full-priced stores; so, you can benefit from shopping for less while reselling for a higher price. We thrifters call this “thrift-flip” or “thrift-flipping”. This is a beneficial hobby if you have the time and push the effort for it! Reselling is very much common to thrifters, think about the next time you're at the thrift and you see a steal of a deal!

TRY ON CLOTHES

This could be a fun way to revamp your style. You can try on an outfit that you wanted to remake online. It’s important to try on the clothes in your cart because some things may not look as awesome as they seem on the hanger. Whatever it is, take your time thrift shopping so you can discover new items to wear and stay inspired!
